27th Street Project New Traffic Alignment Impact

Phase One 27th Street Impact:

Over the next few days the work zone will be dynamic in an effort to move into the new alignment that will have two lanes of traffic flowing in each direction on CO 82. Turn lanes from CO 82 to 27th street will be reopened. The new alignment allows the team to begin the underpass construction under CO 82 near the RFTA BRT station. 27th Street will be open with some lane impacts. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes around this area to balance the traffic volumes during the peak morning and evening commutes. Delays should be expected.

Pedestrians must use the identified alternate pedestrian routes and do not cross at CO 82 & 27th Street.

The project team will be working on Saturday, July 29 to place barriers and complete striping on the new alignment. Commuters should be prepared for the new alignment to be operational on Monday, July 31st.
