Traffic impacts for 27th Street
Crews completed signing and striping changes on eastbound 27th Street. Please be aware that the right lane is designated for RIGHT TURNS ONLY and the other lane is a through or LEFT TURN ONLY lane. The team also worked with CDOT to increase more green time on eastbound 27th in an effort to clear the queues more efficiently.
Concrete work on the underpass continues as well as underground storm drain inlets, piping and water line relocation in 27th Street are all scheduled for the beginning of next week.
No scheduled closures are anticipated on CO 82 and 27th Street next week.
Traffic impacts from the City of Glenwood Springs South Grand Ave. Closure August 21-25 for Utility Work
Motorists should plan for a road closure of South Grand Avenue between Penrose Plaza and 27th Street for utility work. The road will be closed from August 21 to 25 during the day and overnight. No through vehicle traffic. Travel delays are anticipated. Please plan extra travel time through the area.
Bicycle and pedestrian access will remain open via the sidewalk on the west side of the road. Residential access and business access is open via 23rd Street. Penrose Plaza businesses and residents should use 27th Street for access. The road is anticipated to reopen with a single-lane closure on August 25.
